Signing on for a short entry today. Brian is dictating and I am typing. Brian and I had the day off. We were able to be productive by going to the post office, went to the bank (oh! we were stimulated today! economically that is. We received our notice last week that we should receive our economic stimulus check and we finally got it today.), returned a movie, and we went out to lunch at Taco Bell which was a break from the South Beach Diet, but necessary for our state of mind.
After lunch, we went to go watch Iron Man, which we have heard good reviews of, but then we saw that the movie Hancock was out and playing so we decided to see that.
Brian has a bad habit of playing with his ring. With his right hand, he takes it off and starts spinning it. Occasionally, he removes his ring and in an effort to slide it back on his hand, he drops it. His worst nightmare has been to be in a movie theater and drop his ring and to hear it rolling down step after step after step, only to listen helplessly. He's imagined having to wait until the theater is cleared after the movie is over and to search row by row for his ring. So, there we were today, the theatre is all dark and sure enough, Brian starts playing with his ring.
All of the sudden, I hear a solid gold wedding ring clanking on the ground. I felt naturally justified to give him a look and a shove. Poor guy was pawing all around the sticky half-dried coke ground by his feet. Thankfully, for Brian, the ring didn't roll down the steps. We'll see if he learned his lesson.
The movie was just ok. Not one we necessarily recommend and not one we'll plan on seeing again. But, for frittering the afternoon away, it was entertaining enough.
This afternoon, we are going to hang family pictures on our hallway stairs wall and maybe work on our puzzle which we can blog about more later.

Way to go, Brian! Glad you didn't lose the ring...
Been wondering how that puzzle's been coming along...
You guys will have to see Iron Man - it was very good!
